Chris’ Childhood Photos (1)
Posted on: July 29, 2014I found a batch of childhood photos belonging to a bother and sister that lived in West Memphis, Arkansas. The photos were in a junky shop called Second Time Around Flea Market.
I found out that the boy Chris, now grown, still lived in West Memphis, Arkansas, so I sent him a letter with color photocopies of the photos (just in case it wasn’t him). He replied by email on 30 July 2014, just the day after I sent the photographs!
I am thrilled to discover that you do this important work of reuniting photographs and special belongings to their families. I’ve followed on IG for some time now admiring the old pictures but didn’t realize until only recently that your work is this and that you have a website documenting the searches. This is great!! You’ve inspired me to hunt further for the owners of the scrapbooks & boxes of photographs I’ve bought at estate sales, junk shops, and online (I just couldn’t bear the thought of them being trashed or split up!) Thank you for undertaking this unselfish endeavor. I admire your hard work.
