I purchased this batch of photographs at Antique Warehouse Mall in February 2017. This return is a bit different than the others. I photographed and posted all the images to a family tree on Ancestry.com for anyone that may be searching for family since I wasn’t able to track anyone down myself.

A year later, on 22 February 2018, I receive a message on Ancestry asking me to contact the son of a young man pictured in one of my photographs (right). He wanted to know how I was related to him. Of course, I’m not related, I’m just trying to reconnect photographs with their families. I sent him an email explaining everything and received a reply later that evening.

“I was excited when I first saw them, thinking I might have a relative I did not know of. These photos I have never seen before. They of my parents, grandparents, aunts & uncles & great grandparents. … THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH.”

I returned the photos to the Stewart family on 26 February 2018.
